My Biography
My wife Rose and I currently reside in Sebastopol in the same house we bought when we moved here from Southern California in 1982. We have two adult daughters, both married, and five beautiful grandsons. During the early 70s as our family grew my wife and I lived in a variety of rental homes and apartments in Torrance and Redondo Beach, ultimately saving enough money to buy a home in Manhattan Beach and later our second home in Rancho Palos Verdes. It was at that time I developed an avid interest in real estate while selling our first home and purchasing our second. The realization that careful investment and focused dedication to a long term goal could bring profitable results made a lasting and powerful impression on me. It was about that time I began seriously contemplating Real Estate as a career path.
I had started a retail furniture store in 1973 and built it into a successful business throughout the 70s and later sold it giving us the financial freedom to pursue a life in Northern California. Moving to Sebastopol 28 years ago was the most traumatic yet inspiring event of my life. The move meant leaving behind the security and comfort of a successful business and our network of long term friends and extended family. But the benefits of living in an area full of scenic beauty, a temperate climate and stable, friendly communities far outweighed the somewhat painful “transition” phase we went through in adjusting to our new home. It turned out to be the best thing I ever did for my family.
